It was my first visit last Sunday to see the Japonese Film Festival. Easy parking, friendly staff, comfortable seat, cinema was full but there were no distractions ( it was a great film!). And I validated my parking ticket and didn't have to pay! Highly recommend it.
Cinema was very dirty, we arrived 10 minutes before the 8:30 session for Barbie and thought it hadn't be cleaned /yet/. Then the previews started and there was rubbish everywhere. Bins were overflowing, there was popcorn thrown about the theatre, my seat had tissues covering the cup holders. I was told the cleaners are on strike, so maybe treat your workers better and they wouldn't be striking against you.
Great place for a flick. Comfy seats, big screens and parking is easily validated. Good member discounts and the cinema hosts various film festivals. Only annoying bit of feedback is- that the ticket sale and snacks are served by one person which isn't really time efficient.
this place is horrible, went to see a movie in there and there was no aircon. we were boiling alive in there, they said that they were going to fix it but they never did. was sitting in heat, and had to fold up our popcorn box to use as a fan. validating the parking ticket did not work as well, and now we are sitting at a red light because of you guys. horrible would not recommend. long walk to bathrooms too. oh and milly had to go buy another beer to cool down, which means she had to spend more money.
Really enjoy the atmosphere here. They do great events, especially during film festivals. I recently saw a Japsnese & Italian film during those festivals. Saw a brilliant film recently Carvaggio's Shadow... unfortunately the seats were filthy in that theatre.
One of my favourite places to go in Brisbane to see a movie! Sign up for a free membership and get discounted tickets. Often go on a Monday as it's their cheap ticket day and have the cinema all to myself. Seats are very comfortable and the main cinemas are spacious with a large screen. Easy walk from the CBD and just up the road from Roma St train station
Attend open night to movie screening of the new Hunger Games: The Ballad of the songbirds and the snakes to have the wrong movie begin to play it was the original hunger games movie. The problem could not be rectified. We were offered to stay and watch the original hunger games movie. No thanks.
Opening screening should be tested before hand, mistakes can happen, but this should have been checked before viewing was to begin.
I was offered refund for my tickets but not for the food or drinks purchase with Ño movie to view or no offer of future tickets to view the movie at a suitable time.
I Felt this was unprofessional and poorly managed at such an event on opening screening.
Extremely disappointed 😔
Beautiful classical cinema with friendly staff and nice coffee at reasonable prices. Unfortunately for the entire duration of the movie the air conditioner was not working and in the hot heat we currently have it made the experience quite disappointing.
